First cross-sector exchange on circular economy in life sciences with industry stakeholders
On 23 June 2022, Go Circular in Life Sciences (GCiLS) held its kick-off event, bringing together over 40 participants from across the life sciences ecosystem. Participants included representatives from major pharmaceutical companies and their suppliers, contributing a wide range of expertise related to circular economy.
The discussions highlighted a strong shared interest in advancing circular economy approaches in life sciences and demonstrated an early readiness among key stakeholders to move from exploration towards practical implementation and collaborative action.
The kick-off event marked the starting point for further exchange and collaboration, setting the basis for the subsequent workshops and the formal establishment of the GCiLS association later that year.
