Presentation of our Ecosystem Analysis and Workshop Moderation
Transformation of the Life Sciences Industry at University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland FHNW on 28 April: 💥 Exciting energy, strong collaboration, and real ideas for a more circular life sciences industry!
On behalf of the Go Circular in Life Science Association, Emmanuel Oertlé was honoured to present key findings from our ecosystem analysis on circular economy opportunities in the Basel life sciences sector, conducted in collaboration with Impact Hub Basel and supported by BaselCircular.
In the afternoon, during our dedicated workshop session, we used these insights as a springboard for exchange with representatives from industry, academia, and funding organisations — all in one room!
🧠 Together, we worked intensively to shape project ideas that truly matter to participants: from chemical recycling of Medtech plastics and circular packaging solutions to material databases, novel disinfection processes, equipment sharing, and waste management innovations. The ideas were as diverse as they were impactful!
🙏 Huge thanks to all participants for your energy, insights, and commitment to advancing a circular future in life sciences. 👏 A special thank you to our fantastic moderators: Prof. Dr.-Ing. Wolfgang Riedl (FHNW School of Life Sciences) and Emmanuel Oertle, for expertly guiding the discussions.
📢 Our ecosystem analysis will be published soon! Meanwhile share and follow us at Go Circular in Life Science to stay updated and be part of the movement!
