GCiLS, FHNW and BaselCircular strengthen a Center of Excellence for circular economy in life sciences
Go Circular in Life Sciences (GCiLS), the FHNW School of Life Sciences and BaselCircular have entered a strategic collaboration to further develop a Center of Excellence for Circular Economy in Life Sciences in the Basel region.
Building on the ecosystem analysis Towards a Circular Life Sciences in Basel, the initiative aims to accelerate the development, testing and scaling of circular solutions across the life-sciences value chain. GCiLS acts as a neutral coordination hub with direct access to industry, the FHNW School of Life Sciences contributes scientific expertise and infrastructure, and BaselCircular supports the initiative through core funding and regional networking.
Next steps include launching thematic working groups, initiating pilot projects with industry partners, and creating formats for knowledge exchange such as community events and a digital information hub.
